Patna, Sep 21 (IANS) After the contentious agriculture Bills were passed in Parliament, the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar has decided to start its agitation from September 25.

Jagadanand Singh, the state president of RJD in Bihar, said that members of RJD will protest against the Bills in each of the 38 district headquarters in Bihar.

The Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) was dissolved in 2006 by the NDA government in Bihar and its consequences were such that the state government was unable to stock any foodgrains, he said.

"How could they claim that after removing APMC it would help farmers? We have not seen any of the farmers being benefitted by it. It has adversly affected farmers," Singh said, adding that a large numbers of farmers migrated from different parts of Bihar.

Chitranjan Gagan, chief spokesman of RJD, said that the Bills should be immediately rolled back.
