New Delhi, March 6 (IANS) Aditya Raj has become the first Indian to complete the gruelling World Marathon Challenge 2020. He created a record by participating and completing seven marathons in seven days on seven continents.

In the World Marathon Challenge, runners travel across the globe to complete seven marathons in seven days across seven continents. The marathons were held in Novo, Antarctica; Cape Town in Africa; Perth, Australia; Dubai in Asia; Madrid in European continent; Brazil in South America, and finally in Miami in North America.

Aditya, a high-octane entrepreneur and an endurance sports enthusiast with several international achievements under his belt, completed the Asia race in 4:23:34 in February this year. In the Antarctica event, he clocked 7:21:08, in Africa 4:57:51, in Australia 4:24:45, in Europe 4:43:38, in South America 5:43:35, and in North America 5:13:05. His average time was 5:15:22.

As per reports, 15 women and 27 men paid the entry fee of 39,900 euros each (roughly $43,000) to be flown around the world on chartered planes to complete the marathon distance at each location.
