Ayodhya, March 4 (IANS) Iqbal Ansari, one of the plaintiffs in the Babri title suit, has come up with a new suggestion for the five acre land designated for a mosque.

Ansari has said that the Sunni Central Waqf Board has not yet formed a trust for mosque construction and it would be better if the land is used for public welfare.

"I would want that a school, a hospital and a 'dharamshala' should be constructed on the five acre land. I want to communicate my desire to the Chairman of the Sunni Waqf Board but he is not taking my calls. We had sought land in Ayodhya and our opinion should be taken in its utilisation," he said on Wednesday.

He further said that since the land given for mosque was an agricultural land, it would also be a good idea if the land is used for agriculture and the crop grown on it can be distributed among the poor.

"The Sunni Board may or may not include me in the proposed trust but I want the land should be utilised in a manner which benefits the people of this country," he said.

He added that if Board did not accept his advice, he would not hesitate to oppose their decision.

Ansari said that he had not been invited to the meeting of the Sunni Central Waqf Board, scheduled to take place on Thursday.
