Danfoss to double headcount at its Pune technology centre

Chennai, Jan 22 (IANS) Danish company Danfoss A/S plans to double its headcount at its Indian software centre located in Pune, said a senior company official.

He said the technology centre at Pune caters to the global needs of 7 billion euros revenue Danfoss.

"There are about 75 software engineers in Pune centre and their number is will be doubled," Domenico Traverso, President-Work Function Division and also Danfoss India Board Member told IANS over phone from Pune.

He was in Pune where Danfoss Power Solutions' new production facility involving an outlay of about 15 million euros was inaugurated on Wednesday.

"The headcount at the technology centre is increasing fast. Not long ago, the number of software professional at the centre was about 20," Upinder Razdan, Managing Director, Danfoss Power Solutions-India told IANS.

According to him the doubling of head count is expected to happen in two years or even before.
