1/9/1922Har Gobind Khurana, scientist of Biology, was born in India. He did his M.Sc from University of Punjab and, for higher education went to University of Liverpool. In 1959, he produced a chemical called ""Coenzymea"", which is essential for certain processes in the human body. He was awarded Nobel Prize for medicine in 1968 along with Marshall W. Nirenberg and Robert W. Halley.
3/29/1932Sundaram Gundibalirama, right-hand batsman and right-arm medium fast bowler, was born at Udipi in Karnataka.
10/6/1893Meghnad N. Saha, astrophysicist, was born. In 1920, he developed the 'Thermal Ionization Equation', which has remained fundamental in all works on stellar atmospheres. This equation has been widely applied to the interpretation of stellar spectra, which are characteristic of the chemical composition of the light source.
1/30/1785Sir Charles Metkaff, governor general of East India Company, was born.
