Sahil Khan, The actor who came with Style and told all the ladies Excuse Me because he was the real Rama - The Saviour of 2010.
Mahiram is honoured to have the chance of interviewing Sahil Khan, who not only is a good actor but is an example of Good Workout Machine for all.
So Let's not delay any further.
1. Sahil Khan, the muscular and popular the spectacular man from Bollywood. The Reaction from your Film Rama - Saviour was amazing from what I saw in pictures on the net. You tell me how the response from your end to your movie was?
Ramaa The Saviour which also starred WWE The Great Khali and Tanushree Dutta was truly appreciated by the audience, that's the reason it opened the door for Ramaa Part II which will be produced by me and my partner Ayesha Shroff under the banner of Karma Productions.
2. How did you land up with Rama?
Well, since childhood I was very fascinated by the jungles and adventures, etc. on the other hand it's been 25 years after Tarzan was made. So I assembled the idea and spoke to WWE The Great Khali and he was enthusiastic about it. Hence this film happened.
3. Were you a bit apprehensive doing this film due to the script and time period?
Yes I was very apprehensive about it.
4. By seeing the film, I could tell you have worked extra hard on your body. What did you do to keep it so Perfect?
I did everything humanly possible to save muscle, keep body fat low, skin dry ribbed to the bones. I wanted to look ribbed like no one has ever seen something like this in Bollywood. Thanks to my trainers who gave me the best tips that they provide to athletes.
5. How was your experience doing a different genre film which was totally unlike like your previous ones Style and Excuse Me?
It was a lifetime experience for me. When I grow old, I will be proud of seeing myself in this film for what I have done on screen. At least I have made the body builders proud of our country. I have humbly received compliments from the top bodybuilders of the country.
6. One must ask you how it was working with The Great Khali?
He is a very humble man, helped me throughout the shoot. A lifetime experience working with him after working last with the legend, Amitabh Bachchan for 'Aladin'.. my second best experience.
7. Sahil Khan, the name had somewhat disappeared from the Bollywood Film Industry for sometime before you're Latest film Rama - The Saviour came out. Where did you go?
I was just around looking after my family business as I am the only son and my family needed me more this side. I am fortunate that I have received so much love and respect so far, which I never dreamt of. I am enjoying all aspects of life.
8. Let's go back a little. Many of our Canadian American Bollywood fans want to know Sahil Khan but may not had the chance. So why don't you take us to a little bit of history and tell us about the Real Sahil Khan prior to Style.
I was born in Calcutta, brought up in India and abroad. My father is into leather business back home. I am born of mixed parentage, mother Chinese-father Muslim. I have 2 sisters and I am the only son.
9. What are your future projects? I hear Rama 2 is in the pipeline is it true? What else is in store for you?
After receiving good response from Ramaa the Saviour, we are planning to produce Ramaa II.
10. Any plans to visit Toronto? We have a huge Asian population here and always love to know when a Bollywood Celebrity is in town?
I always wanted to visit Toronto and see the Niagara Falls. I hope soon
11. You're Advise to all the youngsters.
Keep away from Drugs. Before staying good was looking good...now looking good is staying good.. hence look good, train hard. If you can live like Superman, why you wanna live like ordinary man !! Stay in your best of health (and Remember You Are Special).
