Damyanti Gupta, born in 1942 in a small city in Sindh and living the life of a refugee for a decade, this trailblazer became the first woman to attend her engineering college in India, first in her family to come to America, first woman to graduate with a master's degree in engineering at Oklahoma State University, and, most famously, the first female engineer at the Ford Motor Company.
